Growing up

Chris is soneone i have know since early childhood, in the early 90’s I grew in the same road as she lived and went to playgroup and primary school with Daniel. Some of my early memories are of playdates at her house , I distinctly remember playing post office in one of the upstairs bedrooms after school one day and games outside in her garden. Chris was always so kind and wore the biggest smile.

My mum and dad have  remained good friends with Chris (and Mick) and would often attend quiz nights together, niw grown up occasionally I’d join and also join Chris and my mum in a good natter and a glass of wine (om not sure I contributed much to the quiz!).
I also have a very clear memory of lockdown walks around Lower Earley: it was Easter Day 2020, a scorcher! My mum and I walked passed the fence of Chris’s garden and she recognised my my mum’s voice and called out, we had a lovely socially distanced catch up (there was an opaque fence) in between! Even wjen the world was stange and things peculiar positively radiated from Chris.

Chris was a wonderful lady who touched so many lives in such a beautiful way, she will be very very dearly missed!
